In2O3 samples with various nanocrystals size are prepared by sol–gel method.
The mean nanocrystals size varies from 7 to 8 nm to 39–41 nm.
Optical band gap of the nanocrystalline In2O3 samples is equal to 2.8 eV.
We propose the model clearing up the phenomenon of persistent photoconductivity in In2O3.
Slow photoconductivity decay in In2O3 is fitted by a stretched-exponential function.
