The Calabrian vegetation of southern Primory'e is studied by various methods. Vegetation data obtained from different organs and methods are largely consistent. All data indicate the presence of more forested conditions and show no open woodland. An appearance of xerophytic vegetation was caused by a reduction of precipitation. The changes of vegetation types generally relates to cooling/drying trends of the climate.
