Effect of surface modification and oxygen deficiency on intercalation property of lithium nickel manganese oxide in an all-solid-state battery

Bulk type all solid-state battery of LiNbO3-LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 − δ/Li10GeP2S12/In-Li was fabricated.

O-deficient LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 − δ were prepared by high-temperature annealing to increase the electronic conductivity.

The LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 − δ annealed at 1073 K exhibited a first discharge capacity of 80 mAh g− 1 when operated at 7.3 mA g− 1.

The average discharge voltage was 4.7 V vs. Li/Li+.
