The effect of processing variables on tomato-peel hydrocarbonization was studied.

T and t are the main variables but there are also interactions among T, t, and R.

Solid biofuels with higher heating values up to 34.8 MJ kg−1 were obtained.

The solid biofuels obtained mainly consisted of barely degraded lignin.
