Elderly drivers are at particular risk for accidents due to age-related visual, cognitive, and physical impairments. This study proposes a risk predictive shared steering control based on potential risk prediction of collision with vulnerable road users, such as cyclists on urban roads. Under the driving simulator experiment, we investigated its acceptance and the effectiveness of providing the auditory alert and visual information, and implementing the shared steering control in the hidden risk situation.
