This study examines citation of scientific and technical information in US NRC committee reports, finding that nearly all reports cite this literature. Longer reports, environmental areas, and committees with less private and government presence use more scientific and technical information. Scientific and technical information is not a factor in use of NRC reports by Congress, while report length and committee sectoral balance are more significant.
