The contribution of the bearing deflection to the gear misalignment is investigated. A design space with 261 different realistic cases of transmissions has been explored. A 3D finite element model of each study case has been developed and analyzed. The parameters of gear misalignments have been computed from the FEM results. The results show the high importance of the bearing elasticity in gear misalignment.
