Mn2+ doped Zn3(PO4)2ZnO nanocrystalline phosphors are prepared by ball milling technique.

The particle sizes of Mn2+ doped Zn3(PO4)2ZnO nanocrystalline powders were determined.

The phase transformation and shape evolution processes were done.

The properties and growth mechanism of Zn3(PO4)2ZnO nanoparticles were studied.

Optical band gap of the powder were investigated using UV–Vis spectroscopy.
