Effects of the halophilic fungi Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Wallemia sebi, Aureobasidium pullulans and Aspergillus nidulans on halite formed on sandstone surface
Biological conservation of sandstone by four halophilic fungi. NaCl promoted the growth of the four fungi. Salt concentration decreased after one month and cleaned salt-affected surfaces by Wallemia sebi. This method has good potential for application for the conservation of salt-affected sandstone.
