The Si–MCM–41 exhibited the hexagonal mesostructure typical of the M41S family. The Si–MCM–41 presented type IV isotherms with type H1 hysteresis loops. Values of qe increased when the initial concentration were higher. Adsorption equilibrium was reached in around 60 min. The adsorption kinetics followed a nonlinear pseudo–second order model.
