Carbonized fish scale (CFS) was utilized to adsorb reactive orange 16 dye (RO16). The maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of CFS for RO16 was 105.8 mg/g at 303 K. The adsorption data fit the Freundlich isotherm and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.
