Greenup onset in a 30 m pixel varies > 40 days within a 500 m pixel. Greenup onset in a pixel reflects the timing of new leaf emergence in 30% of area. Greenup onset becomes detectable with a certain amount of early leaf emergence. Greenup onset in a coarse pixel is well aggregated using a percentile approach.
