A fast 3D scanning system is developed to acquire foot dimensions of elevated heels. It is proven to be highly repeatable (±0.5 mm) and adequately accurate (±0.8 mm). Forefoot measurements of elevated heels were evaluated on 45 women subjects. The 4th and 5th MPJs will be raised as heel height increases. The 5th toe will migrate towards the lateral side as heel height increases.
