Acid activated clay was modified with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). Hemoglobin was immobilized on acid activated clay with and without SDS. Electrochemical behavior was tested in alkaline solution with and without H2O2. Peaks ascribed to Fe(III)/Fe(II) reduction and formation of HbFe(I) were recorded. Linear response of peak current vs. H2O2 concentration was observed.
