NK cells are lymphocytes without a specific receptor for antigen, like T and B cells. NK cells are innate immune cells displaying cytotoxic activity through natural or antibody dependent cell cytotoxicity. They also produce cytokines and chemokines critical to cellular cooperation. These functions are regulated by a balance between activating and inhibitory receptors. Natural Killer cell Receptors recognize mainly CMH class I molecules.
