The effect of 5-HT7 genetic invalidation was examined using a water cross-maze. In KO mice, acquisition of allocentric strategies was longer than egocentric strategies. Both KO and WT mice preferentially used an egocentric strategy. WT mice but not KO mice may learn egocentric and allocentric information in parallel.
