A cold spraying device especially developed to process microparticle aerosols is presented. Cold sprayed titanium dioxide microparticles are fixed on a polished titanium substrate. A uniform microscale surface structure is created. The particles partly intrude the substrate surface. The bonding between the particles and the substrate surface resists intensive ultrasonic cleaning.
