Reconstructs the historical sedimentation pattern of last three and half centuries from a sediment core off Goa, India Change in sedimentation rate and mineral magnetic parameters divide the core into pre-mining and post-mining period Results shows that the onshore mining is affecting the offshore sedimentation and may be detrimental to oceanic environment This study proves that mineral magnetic parameters of coastal sediments can be used to monitor the onshore land use changes
