Effect of pre-annealing on the phase formation and efficiency of CZTS solar cell prepared by sulfurization of Zn/(Cu,Sn) precursor with H2S gas

CZTS was synthesized by sulfurization of Zn/(Cu,Sn) precursor with H2S gas at 550 °C.

CZTS phase formation behavior was critically dependent on the pre-annealing condition.

Pre-annealing at 350 °C in Ar induced the segregation of Sn at surface region.

Pre-annealing at 450 °C under the H2S atmosphere suppressed second phase formation.

The CZTS prepared with pre-annealing in H2S showed cell efficiency of 4.4%.
