Phase-matching properties of HgGa2S4 for SHG in the 0.958-9.2714 ¦Ìm range (revisited)

This paper reports the phase-matching properties of HgGa2S4 for second-harmonic generation (SHG) of the Nd:YAG laser-pumped AgGaS2 parametric oscillator (OPO) and the CO2 laser lines at 9.2714, 9.5525, and 10.5910 ¦Ìm and their SHG at 20 ¡ãC and at elevated temperature. Excellent agreement between theory and experiment for the temperature dependent phase-matching was obtained when using our proposed Sellmeier equations E. Takaoka, K. Kato, Technical Digest CLEO'98, 1998, paper CWF39 coupled with the recently published thermo-optic dispersion formula of J. Mangin, G. Mennerat, G. Gadret, V. Badikov, J.C. Miscault, Journal of the Optical Society of America B: Optical Physics 26 (2009) 1702 .
