Multi-model approach based on parametric sensitivities - A heuristic approximation for dynamic optimization of semi-batch processes with parametric uncertainties
A multi-model approach is proposed as an approximation of robust dynamic optimization. The nominal model is optimized simultaneously with worst-case models to enable robustness. Worst-case parameter values are selected based on parametric sensitivities. Constraint violations are unlikely with the presented two-model approach. Robust optimization of copolymerization and penicillin formation is performed.
