Flow through thin packed column with superhydrophobic wall investigated in depth. Systematic experiments conducted through thin packed and unpacked superhydrophobic columns with variable radius. Elaborate modeling for prediction of slip length in packed column with superhydrophobic wall. Slip length in packed superhydrophobic column evaluated ∼2.5 times the slip length in unpacked superhydrophobic column. Significant drag reduction in packed superhydrophobic column (∼40%) compared to minimal (∼3%) for unpacked superhydrophobic column.
