The long-flagella mutants of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii show anomalous behaviour w.r.t to their motility. We found defects in the ratio of the minor dynein isoform, DHC11. It is the defect in the assembly of DHC11 that somehow manner contributes to the compromised swimming ability of these mutants.
