Population characteristics can predict demand patterns of a proposed transport mode. Requirement of a service-specific preference/adaptation survey can be eliminated. Usage pattern insights can be gained from existing similar services elsewhere. Demand responsive transport does not always compete with existing public transport. There is significant difference in susceptibility of using DRT over a city area.
