A “CTVAR” model for Neurophysiological processes is proposed. Subsampling analysis based on an exact analytic solution of the model is performed. Interactions between timescales of signal delay and sampling frequency are revealed. GC detectability decays exponentially for sample intervals beyond causal delay time. “Black spots” and “sweet spots” in GC detectability are discovered.
