Risk Reduction Therapy for Adolescents targets substance use and sexual risk. Although RRTA was associated with some improvements in substance use, sexual risk, and HIV-related outcomes, results of this initial trial were not robust This study raises questions about testing new interventions in juvenile drug court settings, the need for more in-depth parent training, and whether CM is an effective model for addressing youth sexual risk behaviors.
