The consistency of the quantified SSPs and their narratives is evaluated. SSP3 has higher climate mitigation costs, which is consistent with its narrative. SSP3 has unique characteristics for air pollutant emissions and land use change. SSP3 shows high challenges to the adaptation in terms of income and trade features.
