Repellent activity of compounds from Murraya alata Drake against Tribolium castaneum

Six new coumarins and sixteen other compounds were found from Murraya alata Drake. A statistic model-grey relational analysis was introduced to evaluate repellent activity first time. Meranzin, phebalosin, muralatin K showed effective repellency against Tribolium castaneum. Intramolecular hydrogen bond and carbonyl on 8-substituents of coumarins were related to repellency.
