The behavior of thermal diffusion coefficient in polymer solutions was studied in different phase diagrams. A dimensionless number was introduced that plays a crucial role in determining the thermal diffusion in polymer solutions. Thermal diffusion coefficient takes finite values at the critical point and in general on the spinodal line. It was illustrated that why the Soret coefficient diverges at the critical point. The divergent behavior of the Soret coefficient was predicted for all the points on the spinodal line.
