Performed experiments to measure the combustion characteristics of Mg/Al based composite propellant. Developed an in-house solver to simulate the two-phase flow problem with a detailed combustion kinetic model. Analyzd carefully about the combustion flame structure and chemical reaction order. Found an obvious “double-platform” phenomenon in temperature distributions of combustion wave. Ambient pressure and oxygen concentration have different great influences on combustion characteristics.
