文摘
Unbranched and branched carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized by catalytic chemical vapor deposition from methane at 900?¡ãC over a Cu/MgO catalyst. Morphology and structure of the CNTs were characterized by scanning and transmission electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. The effect of methane flow rate on the CNT growth was investigated. The results suggest that the products were transformed from unbranched to branched CNTs with an increase in methane flow rate. The simplicity and controllability of such a preparation technique make it a promising method to synthesize different carbon nanotube structures.
