High energy shot peening treatment was employed to strengthen the Mg/Ti joint. The tensile strength of HESP treated Mg/Ti joint increased 24.5% to 241 MPa. The surface cracks of Mg/Ti joint were eliminated with HESP treatment. Strain strengthening and fine-grain strengthening was introduced with HESP.
