A micromembrane-type surface stress biosensor with optimized geometrical parameters is proposed. The suspended PDMS micro-membranes with large area, thin thickness and smooth surface have been fabricated successfully. Concentrations of S. aureus can be measured with a sensitivity of 4.275 × 10−2 pF−1 bac/ml and a resolution of 0.8 amol/ml.
