Design a glass system can be used as nuclear radiation shielding material. The mass attenuation coefficients in this glass system were measured for 4 γ-energy lines. Good agreement between experimental and theoretical have been achieved. Effective atomic number and effective electron densities of the glasses increase with the increasing of Bi2O3 content.
