Neutron sources are widely used in industry. Shielding could be required for normal operation and for the intervention to the radiation accidents. Boron trioxide is a good neutron absorber while the EPDM has inherent high hydrogen content. EPDM with boron trioxide composite would lead a effective neutron shielding. The neutron absorber developed is an economical alternative and have a flexible nature.
