Synthesis, crystal structure and properties of a Zn(II) complex with a new N,N,O-tridentate chelate ligand
文摘
A new N,N,O-tridentate chelate ligand, namely 2-(benzimidazol-2-yl)-8-octyloxyquinoline, has been synthesized with 8-hydroxyquinadine and o-phenylenediamine as the starting materials. The obtained ligand reacts with diethylzinc to give a neutral Zn(II) complex. The molecular structure of the complex has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The preliminary investigations on the thermal, electrochemical and luminescent properties of the complex are presented.
