Nonlinear generalized thermoelasticity formulation of a layer is presented.
Finite speed of thermal wave is achieved by means of the Lord-Shulman assumption.
Generalized differential quadrature is used to discrete the governing equations.
Numerical results are provided to show the propagation of thermal and mechanical waves under nonlinear formulation.
