Two Ag(I) complexes of Schiff base ligands with adamantyl motif have been isolated. Presence of triazaadamantyl moiety confers water solubility to the silver complex. In aqueous media the complex releases Ag+ in a slow and sustained manner. Such release of silver has been employed in eradication of bacteria.
