Synthesis and characterization a dinuclear copper(I) complex of a multidentate N-Donor bis azino-pyridyl ligand. The CuI complex (1) is an example of double-stranded helix. This is an in situ reduction of Cu(II). Theoretical BVS analysis supports the oxidation states of the metal ions. Cyclic voltammetry, EISMS and NMR analysis confirms the existence of dimer in solution.
