Tobacco dependence has a significant genetic component. We confirmed the association between CHRN receptors (ɑ3, ɑ5, ß3), CYP2A6/B6 variants and tobacco dependence in the Czech Slavs. The success of the tobacco dependence (one year follow-up) treatment was not influenced by the analysed SNPs.
