Effect of tensile strain on mixed 3D HgCdTe TI layers is studied theoretically and experimentally. The experimental results shows that two independent surface should by characterized by two different Dirac cones (two different Fermi velocity). The strained 3D HgCdTe is a Topological Insulator with high value of the Fermi velocity which is a significant advantage.
