The surface tensions of aqueous solutions of citric were measured in a wide concentration and temperature range. From known measured surface tensions, a most reliable sets of them are established. Using determined densities the apparent molar volumes were determined and compared with the literature values. The parachor values in the citric acid + water system were evaluated and correlated.
