BiOCl1−xBrx solid solutions with adjustable band-gap structure and facet were synthesized. The rose-like BiOCl0.5Br0.5 solid solutions exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity. The enhanced performance was attributed to interaction between surfaces and the reactants.
