Scaling analysis of self-assembled structures and related morphological information in epitaxial growth

The homo-epitaxial growth Cu (001) and Ag (001) are investigated. The mounding instability and wires are studied by Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. The introduction of NNN interactions affects the scaling exponents in Cu rather than Ag. The formation of nanowires is much better for Ag than for Cu growth.
