Copper-based NPs were prepared by IWI-MD on P123-SBA-15 hybrid silica.

The dispersion of NPs was higher than for those prepared by precipitation on SBA-15.

NPs loaded on P123-SBA-15 showed high activity for hydrogenation of CNA.

NPs loaded on P123-SBA-15 are cost-effective and efficient catalysts for CO oxidation.
