First study of the CP-violating phase and decay-width difference in decays

A time-dependent angular analysis of View the MathML sourceden">de">Bs0ψ(2S)ϕ decays is performed using data recorded by the LHCb experiment. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of View the MathML sourceden">de">3.0fb1 collected during Run 1 of the LHC. The CP  -violating phase and decay-width difference of the View the MathML sourceden">de">Bs0 system are measured to be View the MathML sourceden">de">ϕs=0.230.28+0.29±0.02rad and View the MathML sourceden">de">ΔΓs=0.0660.044+0.041±0.007ps1, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the first time that de8c9c6202c699c" title="Click to view the MathML source">ϕsden">de">ϕs and ΔΓsden">de">ΔΓs have been measured in a decay containing the de8f1092f2090a62ab2b48a9e" title="Click to view the MathML source">ψ(2S)den">de">ψ(2S) resonance.
