A critical assessment of ultrasound-assisted extraction as sample pre-treatment for fast determination of multielements in seafood using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry
A fast method for multielemental analysis by UAE and ICP-MS in seafood is presented. Extract dilution as a simple strategy in order to limit interferences is evaluated. The clean-up of extracts with C18 as a more sensitive alternative is also assessed. The use of a FI system for introducing extracts in the instrument is also considered.
