ZDPS-2 is the first nano-satellite which carried a large flexible appendage and achieved Earth-pointing stabilization with an accuracy within 5°. The fundamental frequency of the deployable mechanism is below to 0.13 Hz. Moreover, coarse sun-pointing mode which combined the B-dot algorithm with the gravity gradient torque achieved very low power consumption control. The nonlinear programming method is utilized to estimate the bias and scale factor errors of the magnetometer and the misalignment between the sensors from telemetry data, which could improve the attitude control precision further.
