Introduction: The CD80/CD86-CD28 interaction provides a costimulatory signal for cyclosporin-A (CsA)-resistant IL-2 production and generation of cytotoxic T cell activity. We studied whether CsA differentially affects Th1- and Th2-type cytokine secretion by T cells when costimulated through CD28.
