Sepiolite underpins the proliferation of cancer cells U251 and SKLU-1. Sepiolite induces inhibition or increment on cell proliferation. Low-Al sepiolite favors cell proliferation. Solute retention at sepiolite inner surfaces does not limit cell growth. Depending on phyllosilicate microporosity may affect cell growth.
